Timber Stable Door Replacement, Watlington
Our client, Mr & Mrs Newman, had recently bought a character cottage in Watlington, and needed to have the rotten windows and doors replaced.
The two casement windows, front door and stable door at the rear had to meet very specific requirements, and, as the house is listed, local authority consent was needed before the work could be undertaken.
We helped Mr and Mrs Newman obtain permission from the local authority, and liaised with the local conservation officer, providing him with detailed drawings when he requested it.
We used engineered oak for all the window and doors, and the windows were single glazed with profiles that matched the originals exactly.
The new windows and doors really enhance this period cottage, as well as meeting listed status requirements.
