Timber Casement Windows, High Wycombe
Christopher lives in an extended detached house in Penn, High Wycombe, and contacted us in the spring of 2024 to replace 19 windows which had been previously installed by two separate companies nearly 20 years before.
It was important to him that all of the windows precisely matched the best of the existing ones, unifying the style and quality throughout the house. Here’s the story in Christopher’s own words…
“In 2004, we built an extension and had a local builder make the windows in a nearby workshop.
In 2008, we decided to replace the windows in the original house and chose a German company for the job. We were really pleased with their quality and craftsmanship. However, the windows installed by the local builder in 2004 began to show signs of wear over time and weren’t of the same high quality.
Now, 20 years later, it was time to replace these windows. The German company we previously used was no longer operating in the UK, so we started looking for high-end local companies and that’s how we found Woodcraft Windows.
Our key requirement was high-quality, engineered wooden windows with a multipoint locking mechanism to match the ones we previously had from the German company. Woodcraft Windows offered exactly what we were looking for at a reasonable price. We even had the opportunity to speak with a few of their previous customers, which gave us further confidence in our decision.
The entire process was excellent. The installers were efficient, worked neatly, and left very little mess. They also tidied up and disposed of the old windows. The final result exceeded our expectations—the windows look fantastic, and we couldn’t be more pleased with both the process and the product.
