French Doors and Casement Windows, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire

George and Lucy got in touch with for a project to install new French door sets and casement windows to the home office at their home in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire.

The original windows and doors were notably decayed, with cracked paint and rotted wood, as well as issues with drafts. The French doors in particular no longer functioned properly, and were a drain to heating in the coach house, especially in the winter months.

The coach house where the windows and doors were located also served as a living area for guests, so the aesthetics of the windows and doors were as important as functionality and security.

As per their wishes we were able to closely replicate the original aesthetics of the French door sets and casement windows, both in form and colour, which the couple felt was appropriate for the traditional look of the property.

Security of the windows was of paramount importance, and we installed modern three-point locking systems to the windows keeps the casements firmly fixed in the frame.

The finished result is brand new casement windows and French door sets with side lights that both capture the original feel of the windows but with restored functionality and much improved security, to the benefit of George and Lucy as well as their guests.
