Wooden French Doors and Timber Casement Windows, Cambridge
James contacted us to replace a timber french door and triple section casement window with two opening windows in the existing extension at his home in Cambridge.
The main part of the house features leaded windows, and James asked us to match those with new units that meet the PAS 24 enhanced security performance requirements.
Out leading bars are carefully built into the double glazed units, so they really look the part, but are extremely secure and offer superior insulation and soundproofing.
After taking careful measurements and many reference photos we purpose-built the units in our workshop and installed both the French Doors and the new windows in just one day.
The French Doors have additional top and bottom locking door bolts and the opening casement windows have sturdy locking mechanisms too.
James is really pleased with the way the new door and windows match the rest of the house – and he’s delighted with how safe they are.
