We were recently asked to install new Timber Flush Casement Windows in Ely Cambridgeshire. Our team completed a one-day renovation to enhance the charm and functionality of a Stone Flint Cottage.
The goal was to replace an old timber window with a new, more versatile timber flush casement window, without compromising the aesthetic appeal of the property.
The project utilised high-quality Timber Flush Casement Windows, ensuring durability and maintaining the cottage’s traditional look. The new window is equipped with brass Pear drop handles and Peg Stay, polished to a shine, adding to the elegance of the design. A distinctive feature of this installation is the flying mullion attached to one of the 2 opening casements. This addition allows the homeowner the flexibility to open one window or both.
The installation included a first-floor window with pivot hinges, which, along with the Pear drop handle and Peg stay in polished brass, were all chosen to match the quaint charm of Alexis’s cottage while offering enhanced operation.
