Replacement Sash Windows, Boston Spa, Wetherby
Josh had recently purchased a centuries old Georgian property in Boston Spa, Wetherby, which was in need of extensive refurbishment, including the replacement of the tatty single glazed mock sash windows. The look and quality of the new windows was key to maintaining the traditional aesthetic of the house, as well as providing the performance and convenience of a modern home.
Josh was looking for a service he could trust to be respectful of the heritage and character of the property and found every confidence with us at Woodcraft Windows.
After providing a general estimate we visited the house for an extensive survey of the project, taking detailed measurements and thorough photographic documentation. We were happy to show Josh samples and talk him through the process to find a solution that suited both him and the property.
The old mock sash windows were carefully removed and replaced with brand new engineered pine sliding sash windows with dual colour frames (Josh chose white interior and F&B Hardwick white exteriors), quality brass fittings and double glazed acoustic glass to quieten the sounds of the street. The old rotten sills were replaced with new sapele hardwood sills.
We pride ourselves on keeping our promises, being clear and helpful on matters of payment and sticking to our delivery and installation dates. We were even able to bring forward the project by 3 weeks to suit Josh’s needs, whilst still maintaining our high professional standards.
