Wooden Front Door, Chesham

Following a major refurbishment and extension of his home in Chesham, the front door was the last item Andrew had left to replace. His previous door was draughty, tired and provided limited light to the hallway.

During our initial meeting we discussed various design options and features. However, the project was temporarily put on hold due to unforeseen renovation costs.

A few months later, Andrew returned, ready to move forward with the project. Together, we finalised the specifications, which included upgraded hardware from From The Anvil and top-of-the-line Banham locks to prioritise security. Banham locks were chosen for their exceptional quality and reliability.

The door was painted in Farrow & Ball colours – Stiffkey Blue on the exterior and All White on the interior – adding a touch of elegance. Meticulous attention to detail was given throughout the process, resulting in a fantastic final outcome.

Why did you choose Woodcraft Windows?

How was the process?

“We had an initial meeting with Ged to talk about the design options. Ged brought along samples so we could get a feel for the finished product. Once we approved the design, we were visited by Vadim who took detailed measurements. Vadim was patient with us as we finalised the colour scheme and door furniture. The installation team were incredibly careful and did a super job during the installation. They were excellent at providing a seamless finish and even touched up some minor decorating. When we returned home, we couldn’t believe that it had only taken them a day to install.”
