New Timber Casement Windows and Doors, Oxford

Dominic is a business owner, so he undertook plenty of due diligence when it came time to find the right company to replace the windows and doors at his home in Oxford.

It’s a large house with a lot of original design features including a balcony and a range of window types with a very particular style of sill, all of which Dominic wanted to retain. We’re used to this kind of request, where a customer wants to retain the heritage style of their home whilst adding modern comfort and security.

As usual, we began by taking very exacting measurements and countless photos to ensure that the new windows and doors matched as closely as possible, then set to work building then at our workshop. Woodcraft windows are not just perfect replicas of heritage windows – they are also a major upgrade. We used special slim-lite double glazed units to add extra insulation and security, while keeping the depth of the windows within the property’s character.

With such a range of sizes and styles – including some lovely leaded top-lights – it was important to manage everything carefully so that the installation team could work as quickly and efficiently as possible when they arrived on site.

Dominic’s due diligence paid off, and he’s delighted with both the results and the service we gave him.

“I cannot fault the quality and the service we received from you all. We are delighted with the windows which look fantastic and in keeping with the style of the house. The installers could not have been more friendly, courteous and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble and their work was second to none. I would have no hesitation in recommending Woodcraft Windows. Thank you again.”
