Wooden Sash Windows in Oxford, Cambridge, London, Bath, Ascot & Harrogate
If you’ve been living with original Wooden Sash Windows that look the part, but are draughty and difficult to open, we can help. Keeping true to the original look, and even sash mechanism, we’ll custom-make and fit exact replicas of your sash windows. Your home will retain its authentic style, and you’ll be able to let the fresh air in when you want it, and shut it out when you don’t.
Each window unit is measured by our experts, and then made to your specifications in our own workshops. This means we can offer a large range of options for your new windows, many of which are offered to complement period properties.
Once made to your exact specifications, your new wooden sash windows are packaged carefully for safe transportation, and stored securely until ready for installation.

Timber Sash Window Options
Conservation range
Our Conservation range of wooden sash windows are designed for period homes to improve thermal, acoustic and security performance. The bars are glued inside and outside the sealed unit to create a true bar effect.
Heritage range
Mainly for listed buildings and conservation areas, the Heritage wooden sah window range is designed to replicate traditional, single glazed windows. It offers enhanced thermal and acoustic performance. The bars are “real” and fixed between the glass panes.
Timber type
You have a choice of hardwood, softwood or Accoya engineered wood. Accoya is designed to resist rot, even in British weather, and stay structurally sound for decades. All our timber is obtained from verified sustainable sources.
Cords & weights system
The window is counter-balanced by weights concealed in the side sections. The counterbalancing weights are connected to the window via pulleys that sit at the top of the frame.
Locks
Our sash windows are designed to be lockable, or come with no locking mechanism. We can give you advice on this during your free estimate.
Frame finish
You can choose from a range of finishes, developed to complement period homes, and guaranteed for 5 years.
Spring balance system
In this more recent innovation, a spring-loaded device is used instead of the cords and weights system.
Decorative bars
Decorative bars can be added to your windows as an option.
Stained glass
We can replicate any stained glass design – traditional or contemporary – in any size.
Leaded glass
Enhance the style of your home down to the finest details, with bespoke leaded glass designs.
Glass Options
We offer many types of glass – and can give you advice if you live in a listed building or conservation area, yet need to improve the energy efficiency of your home. It’s possible to have stained or leaded glass in any design.
Slimline glass
Our slimline range of glass is ideal for period properties, and helps to retain the character and style of the building.
Double glazed glass
Keep the warmth inside and the cold outside with thermally efficient double glazing.
Triple glazed glass
Add extra insulation and noise prevention with triple glazing. Good if you’re near a busy road or runway.
Laminated glass
A layer of vinyl is sandwiched between two panes of glass to increase safety and security, and to reduce noise.
Solar control glass
Let the light in, while reflecting much of the sun’s heat back outside. Good for conservatories and south facing windows.
Obscure (frosted) glass
Essential for bathrooms, or any window that faces directly onto your neighbour’s property. Many different styles available.
