Replacement Timber Casement Windows, Banbury, Oxfordshire

Jeff’s beautiful house outside of Banbury needed its original single-glazed timber windows replacing after years of exposure had left them suffering from rot and deterioration. While the existing windows had reached the end of their life, they formed an important part of the property’s character, so it was essential that their replacements looked completely at home.

We handcrafted ten new double-glazed timber casement windows from high-quality engineered pine, carefully matching the proportions and detailing of the originals. One of the most distinctive features of the existing windows was their unusually wide glazing bars, so every new frame was custom-built to faithfully replicate this feature while incorporating the benefits of modern double glazing. The result preserves the traditional appearance of the house while significantly improving thermal performance, comfort and ease of maintenance.

The installation itself required just as much care as the manufacturing. Jeff’s home was immaculately presented, and we took great pride in ensuring it remained that way throughout the four-day project. Our team worked methodically to minimise disruption, carefully protecting the interior, controlling dust and leaving each room clean and tidy as work progressed. Attention to detail doesn’t stop with our joinery – it extends to every aspect of the fitting process.

The finished windows complement the property perfectly, retaining the authentic character of the original design while delivering all the advantages of modern craftsmanship, improved energy efficiency and long-lasting performance.
