Replacement Timber Sash Windows & Casement Window Cambridge
Matthew’s Victorian terraced house in Cambridge had become draughty, so he contacted us to update three rotten old Sash Windows upstairs and the large casement downstairs at the front of his home, which had become something of a security risk.
Since the house is in a conservation area of Cambridge, the windows had to be carefully matched to the original style in order to meet regulations. Matthew also intended to let the house, so it was important that everything was up to standard before the tenants moved in.
We replaced the front Sliding sash with modern spiral balance sash windows that are in keeping with the surrounding properties and offer 21st Century security and heat-retention.
The downstairs casement window is now draught-proof and locks securely, meeting the required insurance standards.
Matthew’s tenants have remarked on how warm and comfortable the property is with the new sash and casement windows.
