New Wooden Timber Framed Windows Front Door Jericho Oxford

“We initially needed only a new basement window, a small bathroom one and a large sash window. We were so taken with these that we decided to go further and replace all the remaining windows in the house, and even the front door. Our house was built around 1875 and I would not have parted with the original wooden frames and glazing without the confidence I gained from a visit from one of the company owners. We set Woodcraft a condition to match the proportions and period character and to provide us with a very attractive replacement. They did so expertly, efficiently, responsibly, skilfully and with very enviable results, exceeding all our expectations. I have since recommended Woodcraft Windows to our closest friends. This is the fifth company we screened to undertake this work; the fruits of more than 18 months of shopping around.”

Timber Casement Windows and Front Door, Jericho, Oxford

Leon lives in the popular Oxford area of Jericho. Whilst the classic Victorian terraced homes are very sought-after, they are in a conservation area, so they pose a problem when it comes to replacing the windows and doors. To meet planning requirements, the existing window designs have to be closely replicated.

Leon was concerned with the poor security, energy efficiency and noise insulation of his existing sash and casement windows and wanted to upgrade to smooth-operating, securely-lockable, warm, double-glazed windows that also met with the conservation requirements.

Luckily for him, that’s exactly what we do best. We replaced his old door and four of his windows, and we’ll soon be back to replace the rest.
