What a lovely project this was! Charlotte has a beautiful old cottage in the charming village of Oddington in East Oxfordshire.
The old doors and windows were well past the point of no return and in dire need of replacement. The original stable door had been totally boarded up and all of the windows were draughty, peeling and insecure. There was a set of uPVC French doors at the back which were totally out of keeping with the period of the cottage, so they had to go too.
We spent a lot of time with Charlotte planning and drawing up how the new doors and windows would look before building everything from scratch in engineered pine at our workshop.
A big installation project on an old building like this inevitably throws up a few issues, and this was no exception. But this is what we do every day, so the team worked with Charlotte to find solutions that worked well for everyone, and she is delighted with the finished result.
