Timber Sash and Casement Windows and French Doors in Farnham, Surrey
Michael’s beautiful, double-fronted red-brick home in Farnham, Surrey is a lovely example of the architecture of the early 20th Century.
However, the original single-glazed art nouveau-style windows had seen better days, despite regular maintenance.
Michael asked us to create and install brand new engineered timber sash windows, casement windows and french doors that feature modern double glazing and security, yet precisely match the originals to replicate and maintain the character of the house.
First, we carefully measured and matched the decorative arched bars in our workshop, then built all of the units.
The installation and finishing took eight days, but we kept disruption to a minimum with our non-intrusive fitting process, so that Michael could comfortably use his home during the remodelling.
We think we managed to hit the brief, and Michael is so happy with our work that he’s asked us back to do some further work soon.
